To celebrate MLK, Jr. Day in Philadelphia, Mayor Jim Kenney led a group of volunteers in creating book shelves called “book nooks,” for a project sponsored by Read by 4th, the local Campaign for Grade-Level Reading coalition.
The nooks, book shelves donated by IKEA, will hold 18,000 books donated by Scholastic Press. Eventually finding a home in barber shops, nail salons and laundromats, the book nooks will operate as local mini libraries. Locations include Philadelphia City Hall, the African American Museum and High Point Cafe. Here's a map of Book Nook locations.

We would love to do this in Denver. Are you able to give me any information on contacts at IKEA or Scholastic Press that we could reach out to?
Kindly,
