NSLA is gearing up for #SummerLearningDay 2016 and we would like your help. We appreciate your participation in last year’s successful celebrations across the country. Last year GLR communities held more than 160 events and reached 130,000+ young people. This year we are convinced that we can double our numbers from last year and reach twice as many youth.

Please help us inspire more communities to participate in #SummerLearningDay by sharing pictures from your 2015 event(s) and a 2-3 sentence description of the event, along with any photo credits. Your pictures may be used in NSLA communications to inform and engage the GLR Network and communities at large to get involved in #SummerLearningDay and #keepkidslearning during the summer. By sending us your pictures and descriptions you are giving us permission to use them in our communications, which may include written publications, videos, online resources, and social media outlets.

Please send your pictures and descriptions along with the NSLA_Photo_Release.doc to the following email address: dhammond@summerlearning.org

Not sure what to include in your brief description? Here are a few interesting things we would like to know about your #SummerLearningDay 2015 event:

  • What was unique about your event?
  • How many children did you reach?
  • Are you doing it again this year?

We thank you in advance for your assistance.

Let’s continue to work together to achieve our #keepkidslearning #SummerLearningDay #GLReading goals!

Remember to post your event on our interactive map at SummerLearningDayMap.org so that families can find you!
